Kootenay Rockies Gran Fondo Fundraiser!

In lieu of the 2021 Kootenay Rockies Gran Fondo, our Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary Club recently organized a raffle for a Joseph Cross original painting titled, “Spring Training for the Fondo.”  We raised over $16,500 through this raffle for the Youth Foundry “NOT ALONE” campaign. The lucky winner of this beautiful piece of art was long time Rotarian Greg Ehman, until recently from Golden, but now residing in Edmonton. Greg and his partner Kristi have generously donated the painting back to our Rotary Club, to raise even more money for the  “Not Alone” campaign.  We hope to offer this stunning original for live auction in the future, more news to come.

Artist Joseph Cross has allowed our Rotary Club to offer for sale 99 Limited Edition Numbered Prints of this beautiful painting in two sizes:

The East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH) goal is to raise 1.4 million dollars to support the Foundry East Kootenay. Foundry East Kootenay will be a walk-in health and wellness centre for youth ages 12-24 seeking help, primarily for mental health and substance use. Services such as primary care, counseling, substance use and peer support will be brought together with social services that include employment and education resources under one roof. For youth there will be no waitlists. No having to repeat their story multiple times. They will access help the day they walk through the doors.
